Central Presbyterian
Central Presbyterian Church at 1155 Thurlow is a historic Reformed congregation that also supports seniors housing above the church. The Journey Society project streamlined operations in Microsoft Teams and refreshed media and streaming for reliable online worship and events. Ongoing IT managed services support Microsoft 365, Teams, and Zoom Professional.
Central Presbyterian Church is a historic Presbyterian congregation in Vancouver’s West End, gathering for worship, service, and community life at 1155 Thurlow Street. Formed in the months surrounding the 1925 church union, Central remains Presbyterian and continues in the Reformed tradition. It is shaped by a story of resilience, neighborhood care, and welcome.
Today Central is also a practical support place. The church sponsors affordable housing for older adults, with over forty apartments directly above the church. These apartments are designed for independent living in downtown Vancouver.
Modernization at Central Presbyterian Church
Central Presbyterian Church recently completed a major modernization to strengthen how staff, volunteers, and ministry teams work together across a busy, multi-use site that includes worship spaces and seniors housing.
We helped move day-to-day operations into Microsoft Teams so communication, files, and meetings could live in one shared place. Training took time, especially for those who prefer familiar routines, but the payoff was real. People now feel more confident, more connected, and less stuck waiting for answers.
Alongside the back office upgrade, we supported a refreshed media and streaming setup. This is so Central can share worship and community gatherings online with consistent, reliable production technologies and streaming.
